CEWE records revenue record in the first quarter of 2025
CEWE Stiftung & Co. KGaA has set a remarkable revenue record in the first quarter of 2025, primarily due to high demand for photo books. Revenue increased by a significant 4.8% to 173.4 million euros. These figures underscore the company’s annual targets for 2025.
Successful sales figures
Particularly in the segment of photo books, CEWE was able to shine. Sales of CEWE PHOTOBOOKs rose by 5.1% to reach 1.3 million copies. This strengthens CEWE’s position as the market leader in Europe.
Challenges due to later Easter period
Despite the revenue record, earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) came under pressure. The later Easter period in 2025 – Easter fell in April instead of March – negatively influenced the contribution margin, leading to a decline in EBIT of over 20% to 6.1 million euros.
Forecast for 2025
CEWE confirmed its forecast for the current year. Revenue is expected to increase by up to four percent to between 835 and 865 million euros, while EBIT is anticipated to be between 84 and 92 million euros. These factors play a crucial role for investors hoping for the future performance of CEWE shares, especially as demand for photo books remains high.
