Nestlé’s Strong Growth in the First Quarter of 2025

Nestlé reported a revenue of 22.6 billion Swiss francs in the first quarter of 2025, marking an increase of 2.3% compared to the previous year. This result aligns with the company’s expectations, and the forecast for the entire year 2025 remains unchanged.

Organic Growth and Volume Growth

Analysts had anticipated an organic growth of 2.4% for the first quarter of 2025, driven by price increases, particularly in coffee and cocoa products. Internal volume growth (RIG) stood at 0.6%, representing an improvement compared to the previous year. These figures highlight that Nestlé was able to achieve solid growth despite fewer trading days and unfavorable holidays.

Regional Developments

Price increases for coffee and cocoa products were particularly evident in Europe, Asia, and Latin America, as these regions account for about 40% of Nestlé’s revenue from chocolate and coffee. This demonstrates how Nestlé responds to changing market conditions through targeted pricing strategies.

Outlook

Nestlé has confirmed its forecast for the entire year 2025 and remains optimistic regarding its long-term growth objectives. Organic growth is expected to be around 4%, and the underlying operating profit margin is anticipated to be 16.0%. These targets underline Nestlé’s focus on strong and sustainable growth.
