Virtual Annual General Meeting 2025
The Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) will hold its regular annual general meeting on July 3, 2025 at 10:00 AM CEST as a virtual event. This format does not allow for physical attendance of shareholders, except for the company’s proxy voting representatives. Participation is exclusively through the HHLA shareholders’ portal.
Agenda and Dividend Proposal
A central agenda item is the decision regarding the dividend for the fiscal year. The management board and supervisory board of HHLA propose a dividend of 0.16 euros per A-share. This contrasts with a counter-proposal from the majority shareholder, the Port of Hamburg Beteiligungsgesellschaft, which seeks to reduce it to 0.10 euros per A-share to strengthen equity.
Influence of the Majority Shareholder
The Port of Hamburg Beteiligungsgesellschaft holds 90.4 percent of the HHLA’s share capital. Due to this majority stake, the approval of their counter-proposal is likely. The aim is to strengthen the financial health of HHLA and facilitate future investments.
Impact on Investors
The dividend decision is of great interest to investors as it affects returns. A lower dividend might initially reduce yields, but will be offset in the long term by strengthened financial reserves and strategic investments.
Share Price Development
In the last twelve months, the share price of HHLA has increased by 12 percent and currently stands at approximately 18.65 euros. Recent developments have resulted in a slight price increase of 0.5 percent.
