Drägerwerk: Profit Decline in Q2/2025, But Positive Outlook

Significant Profit Decline in the Second Quarter of 2025

The medical and safety technology manufacturer Drägerwerk recorded a significant profit decline in the second quarter of 2025. The operating profit before interest and taxes fell by about half to 20 million euros. Revenue slightly decreased by 0.6 percent to 780 million euros, which was partly hindered by the strong euro.

Positive Development in Incoming Orders

Despite this profit decline, the company remains optimistic about the future as incoming orders increased by 10.5 percent compared to the previous year to around 877 million euros. This positive trend in incoming orders leads Drägerwerk to believe in a business revival, and management confirmed the annual forecast.

This outlook may be of interest to investors as an increase in incoming orders is often seen as an indicator of future growth and can positively impact the stock price. The stock reacted after the announcement of the figures with a slight decline of about 0.2 percent on the Tradegate trading platform compared to the Xetra closing price.

Drägerwerk plans to publish more detailed figures for the second quarter on July 29. Overall, the company signals a recovery driven by order revitalization despite short-term challenges.

In Summary:

Key Figures Q2/2025 Change from Previous Year
Operating Profit before Interest & Taxes (EBIT) approx. 20 million EUR decrease of approx. 50%
Revenue approx. 780 million EUR decrease of approx. 0.6%
Incoming Orders approx. 877 million EUR increase of approx. +10.5%

This development makes Drägerwerk an interesting option for investors looking at a possible recovery in the remainder of the year.
